We were asked to create an image for Sarah’s birthday by her longtime partner, Jeff. He was stumped for an idea, something unique that would stand out amongst all the gifts over the years. Jeff provided us with a handful of things Sarah was into with the basic tenet of “make something cool.” A cosmetologist by trade, we decided to go with a fashion magazine motif featuring Sarah and her dog, Miette as glamorous models. We chose the Victorian era of fashion and built her outfit from specific reference that we gathered. The cover was rounded out by working in Sarah’s love of Jameson whiskey, astrology and cosmetology knowledge. This was a very inspiring project to develop, especially as it was outside our usual subject matter comfort zone. New challenges are always a treat to tackle at 80% Studios.
